Religion and ethics

NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.

At Wallabadah Public School, SRE is delivered on Monday each week at the following times:

K-2 students from 2:45pm to 3:15pm

Years 3-6 from 2:15pm to 2:45pm

In the Online Enrolment form there is a section to participate in SRE. There are two options Combined Christian or Alternate Meaningful Activities. After the initial enrolment, notofication of changes to a child's enrolment in SRE shouldbe given to the school office , in writing.

The following SRE classes are offered at Wallabadah Public School:

Christian SRE is a combined scripture which includes Anglician Diocese of Armidale, Australian Christian Churches and Uniting Church in Australia. The Christian Education Publications Connect Curriculum is used. Publications can be found at cepstore.com.au

Alternate Meaningful Activities: During the time that SRE is being held, students not attending will be supervised in a seperate space and will participate in meaningful activities provided by the teacher.

During enrolment, you can choose a special religious education option for your child from the school’s available approved providers. You can withdraw your child from special religious education by selecting alternative meaningful activities, or special education in ethics if it’s available.
